Chapter Champions

The New Haven Chapter congratulates three member schools for winning State Championships this past weekend.

Notre Dame and coach Tom Marcucci won the Class L State Title with a 28-21 victory over Pomperaug which was previously undefeated. The victory gave the Green Knights a 11-1 record and the number #1 ranking in the the final poll.

The Cheshire Rams and coach Mark Ecke defeated the previously undefeated and number 1 ranked Staples Wreckers by the same score of 28-21 in overtime to win the Class LL State Title.

The victory gave the Rams an 11-1 record and the number #2 ranking in the the final poll.

And the Hyde Howling Wolves and coach Mel Wells won the Class S State Title with a 21-0 victory over Northwest Catholic. The victory gave the Howling Wolves a 11-1 record and the number #9 ranking in the the final poll.

The three schools will be honored at our 50th Scholar Athlete Dinner on April 23 at Aqua Turf.
